Today is the day. Today is the day I start my 30 day Bikram Hot Yoga Challenge with the hubs. Surprisingly it was his idea. I have been doing Bikram Yoga for over 3 years now, just never consistently enough. I've always wanted to do the 30 day challenge, but with the travel for my job it just hasn't been possible. We moved from Ann Arbor, MI to Asheville, NC about 6 months ago. Along with the move came a new territory. There is a studio in just about city I travel to now so I should be able to give it a go. This is where the "mostly" comes in. My goal is to do it everyday I possibly can. If you can, you must.
I consider myself a Tri-Athlete of sorts. I trail run, mountain bike, and do Bikram Yoga. I love the Bikram to undo all the damage my body endures from the running. Unfortunately, the move deterred our physical activities for a period of time. We did hop back on the band wagon, 15 lbs later. My husband, Jerry, sustained some major injuries while we were on a mountain bike ride a few weeks ago. Then I re-injured a sprained ankle. So it seemed like a better idea to do the 30 day then continuing to do NOTHING. Another benefit to the Bikram's is that you can pretty much do it in any condition with just about any injury. It actually helps. You just have to adjust a little around whatever the injury of the day is.
So here it begins. I'm a little aprehensive, but excited. Let the fun begin.
